If you are on the SOR, yopu have 5 days to inform the police that you are/have changed address (as they need to know where SO's are). If he has doen this, fine. If not expect them to come after him. If you know where he is and are intervewed by the police you could be chanrged with aiding and abeting a known Offender (i think).

It's worth checking out with ther locsal police anyway, just to make sure you are above board and cooperating.
References :
If he is on a Suspended Sentence Order he is breaking the law if he has gone abroad without informing Probation. If not, he will still need to tell his officer and can be breached if he has failed to keep in contact/inform his officer of a new address - foreign or not. Breaching can end up in imprisonment, activating a suspended sentence or added community penalties.
References :
Work

If he is breaching a court order or conditions of his probation by either going abroad or not turning up to meet with his probation officer, then he will be arrested.

Furthermore if he fails to sign the sex offenders register at his local police station, and simply disappears abroad his details will be submitted to the European Police Office (Europol) and International Police Office (Interpol), and he will be a wanted man in most countries across the world.

The UK Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre reguarly puts up pictures of Sex Offenders who have breached their conditions on the CEOP Website.

Whilst UK Crimestoppers has on-line appeals and pics of wanted UK criminals including sex offenders on it's website, including those residing on the Spanish Costas or elsewhere in Europe.

Rape used to not be a crime in France.

I wouldn't be surprised if it still wasn't.
