if you are going to be a counselor, you need to have your head screwed on straight, since you will be dealing with people that are very vulnerable.
After reading your post, it seems to me that you have issues.
remember predators take many forms. They are not always sexual.
References :
To become a SA counsellor in most countries you would need to do a degree in something like psychology or social work. You may also work with survivors in some related fields like in a refuge or as a crisis carer for children who have been removed by CPS workers. Another option is to volunteer at your local crisis phone service like life line, kids helpline or something like that. Most of them provide inhouse training. There's also organisations like the Salvation Army, Amnesty International and organised religions that have programs.

Australia wide 1800 200 526
Kids helpline 1800 55 1800
Lifeline 13 11 14

UK 0845 4647
Ireland 1800 778 888
USA 1800 656 HOPE

As far as law enforcement goes, you could become a regular police officer and then do training to specialise in sex crimes. Alternately you could train to be involved in the global virtual taskforce.
Below are some sites to get you started. Email the one in your country and see if they can help you.
References :
http://www.aifs.gov.au/acssa/crisis.html
