Can justice be served for sexual abuse that happened years ago?

October 7th, 2009

If a child was a 7 years old and their relative was 14 years old and he molested her. This went on for the rest of the victims life up until the present day. Can he be convicted for the sexual abuse since it begun when he was a minor?
I don’t know the details of the abuse, but would he be able to serve time for what he did to the victim? What if he denied the allegations?

What are the laws? Please, I want justice to be served for this creep.
The abuser is now 21 years of age, but he had been doing this the victim since the age of 14 until now.

Oh yeah. Big time. You need to contact your local authorities. They should be able to take over from there. I’m sorry that this happened to someone close to you!

** In regards to him denying the allegations – I’ve been told that the child is almost always taken more seriously than the perpetrator. She should have a good chance at fighting it as long as she talks.
