JR – I think you are missing the point of Logan’s question – he is asking the opinion of Catholics; if you are not Catholic don’t reply. Duhhhh – did you graduate grade school?

Logan: anyone with a conscience would never condone the abuse of children. I feel the Church, should not harbor or protect these priest and should be tried as any other human being would be. Our society should demand that these priest should be arrested and tried and should not look at them with any favor. They should have known better than an ordinary person. They abused their position that was trusted to them by the Church and the people of the Church. We looked at clergymen with awe and respect; only to be disappointed with a few. Their actions are disgusting.

For the Church to protect these priest and keep their actions quiet is like they are condoning these actions; while condemning those who have premarital sex, or get divorced and then remarry and deny them communion is contradictory. They are saying one thing while condoning another. Right is right and wrong is wrong.

They should start making a stand and start protecting the innocent. They made a mess by covering up their "bad seed". I am disillusioned by the Church’s stand but will continue to go to church and ask that God will guide them to make better choice for the faithful .
