Priest Abuse and Clergy Sexual Abuse Information

Makes you wonder if predators go into the catholic clergy to get access to children, the strain of celibacy, or is there an even more hideous sub-culture that indoctrinates them into such sickness.

I’m not a catholic, and I am as much against child abuse as the next guy, but I think you’re overly exaggerating things and blowing things way out of proportion. The few who do get the major headlines, and then you take that small percentage (which is still too many – even ONE is too many!), but you take that small percentage and try to apply it to an entire group!

Please don’t misconstrue what I’m saying. I think any, and every, child abuser should be severely punished. Jesus even said that it would be better for that person to tie a millstone around his own neck and throw it into the deepest sea, than to abuse a little one!

But what I do NOT like is to make vast sweeping accusations based on the actions of the few.
