How much proof do you want? It has been all over the news in the last several years that Ratz knew ALL about it – and orchestrated the top-down coverup!

“How dare you insult the pope?” The only One beyond reproach is God. Humans are deserving of just reproach for wrongdoing – ergo, criticism of Ratz is justified & overdue.

To say the pope is beyond reproach is Blasphemy: as only God is beyond reproach.

Period.

Well….the “revolution” was attempted in the form of Vatican II. It was a last ditch effort to try to return the Church to something closer to what Christ intended. To simplfy ritual, organization, divest of excess ets to feed the poor, etc.

BUT – that was all de-railed with the ‘taking away’ of Pope JP1st….and the substitution of JP2 via Opus Dei. They & the other right wing fanatics want Ceasero-Papism uber alles…….again!

Spiritually, the answer would be:

Yes, the Catholic religion (core/key beliefs) IS good; but it is the organization headed by the Vatican which is & always has been corrupt & bad. If by “Church” you mean the entity – then it serves little purpose, as it (obviously!) does not serve God.

…nor does it serve Man, as Christ intended it should. Instead it uses, brainwashes & spiritually enslaves – instead of leading men to God gently.

The REALITY is that MOST priests ARE corrupt. They have to be, if they wish to continue to eat…..

They are hired soley on the basis of Loyalty; of being ‘good company men’. The literal handful who are true & genuine Xtians are those who slip through the cracks in the seminary system.

All bishop ARE corrupt: as they are required by oath to ‘keep the secrets of the church’ – including sex abuse of minors. The system/organization is rotten to the core.

The Church understands celibacy as not taking a wife. It does not mean sexual abstinence, which of course is chastity. There are many priests who have fathered children, I know of two of them, Casey and Cleary, neither one was ever defrocked. I remember T-Shirts at the time saying Wear a condom just in Casey.

Ah youve hit the proverbial nail on the head. The Church understands celibacy as not taking a wife. It does not mean sexual abstinence, which of course is chastity. I left the Catholic …
I left the Catholic church at the age of 17
I was an alter boy in the Catholic dominated city of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Because I renounced Catholicism my mother wanted me to talk to a certin priest,I refused. 30 years later she sends me a news paper clip that priest was molesting boys. I was never molested but I do know Catholicism is a cult.
