Priest Abuse and Clergy Sexual Abuse Information

Hi:

I don’t know if you saw the news about the single woman who got pregnant and subsequently terminated from her teaching position for the apparent reason of getting pregnant. This was at a Catholic school in Minnesota. I am so mad that this happened, and I hope she sues them!!! What a horrible activity, especially considering the other side of the coin with a lot of the clergy involved in child sexual abuse. What a bunch of self righteous idiots! I suppose they would have actually been happier if she would have decided to have an abortion. I hope she knows there are a lot of women that support her. (I know this really isn’t a question.)
For all of the people who respond about moral grounds – this is like the Scarlet Letter. Whether or not you sign something, it doesn’t sound like a legally binding contract because I think the EEOC would back her for wrongful termination. Normally, it seems like society, particularly some organized religions, backs up punishing women. As far as I’m concerned, I probably never will be involved with an organized religion again because they are so hypocritical. I guess all they do is go after the easiest targets, and don’t remember that all "sins" are considered pretty much equal. I guess gluttony, sloth, pride, avarice, envy and other sins can run rampant. Whatever happened to ‘do unto others as you would have them do unto you?/

I don’t know what to say but they both committed a mistake..
On the teacher’s part, we know that we should be role models for our students so she shouldn’t have done it.. How can you tell your students the values that they should uphold if you don’t practice them yourself?
It’s the same as the administrators, they teach the students to learn how to love and forgive, yet they did not show them the right thing to do in such situation.. They should have thought of the pros and cons of the situation and the opinions that it will gain from the public..
