Priest Abuse and Clergy Sexual Abuse Information

Today Pope Benedict has regretted the sex crimes of clergy:

" Pope Benedict XVI said Tuesday he was "deeply ashamed" of the Clergy Sexual Abuse scandal in the Roman Catholic Church and will work to keep pedophiles out of the priesthood, addressing the toughest issue facing the American church as he began his first papal trip to the United States."

I distinctly remember Jesus Christ made hermit's life conditional upon one's ability to follow code of conduct of Torah. He said if one could not, he better live a married life and save himself from sins. In spite of this facility, the papacy undertook what was not required of it and could not carry its weight.

If all priests start living like good married couples, taking good care of their children and giving full time to their moral eduation and guide them in their day to day affairs, they can become role model for rest of the society. The spread of atheism in the present day western society, has been caused by misconduct
of clergy.

But the question is whether the priests who molest children are lead by love of God and IS God behind them? For if God were with them, He would have saved them from the sin. So why not think and preempt the possibility. I think children's safety comes first!
If I were in his place, I would have taken an initiative and saved the children of the believers on a priority basis.

i think all clergy men should get married and have children maybe this way children won't be molested and i agree with you about people turning away from God due their 'misconduct'
